Last week, a topless photo surfaced with claims it was from the cellphone of no other than
Disney star
Selena Gomez. Not too many people paid any attention to it, mainly because everyone with half a brain could tell the nude photo was a fake and could find out it was being featured on a website that specialize in
Selena Gomez fake nudes. Yeah, huge disappointment here too... The particular "topless" photo everyone is talking about now has been circulating on the Internet for sometime now (
since October 2010 to be exact) purporting to be her but it stayed under the radar of most media outlets.
And then yesturday,
Hollyscoop reported it was approached with a supposed topless photo of Selena Gomez that was taken with a camera phone. The story exploded from there... But they said "we're not going to publish the photo because we can't verify that she was over 18 when it was taken." They said the photo was taken inside a bathroom by someone else and Selena is posing in front of a closed door. But regardless, the photo is fake. So the seller was in fact was trying to scam celebrity websites. Sources tell
TMZ that Selena and her people are angry that her reputation is being tarnished by a pervert with Photoshop and that any site publishing it will be hit with a cease and desist and possibly a lawsuit. The teen star claims that the topless photo currently circulating the Internet is a fake and her legal team is ready to fight the person responsible for it. Selena's camp says:
"The alleged photo of Selena Gomez is absolutely not her. Selena's family is pursuing all available remedies to deal with the offender."
Selena Gomez is not happy that her reputation is being trashed on the Internet and is ready to take action. TMZ reports:
Sources directly connected with Gomez tell TMZ Selena and company are furious that her reputation is being sullied by some perverts with Photoshop.
We’re told her lawyers are planning on taking action immediately. Standard operating procedure is to fire off a cease and desist letter … followed by a lawsuit.
We didn't think it was real either when we first saw it last week so it wasn't posted….but are now obligated to our readers to report what all the fuzz is about. One clue the picture is fake is the fact that Selena Gomez has a huge mole on her right breast which is visible in all her bikini and cleavage shots.
